Ronnie O Sullivan

Most natural player ever to pick up a cue if he had had a strong mentor to look after him in his younger days like when he got Ray Reardon to help him he would have win far more tournaments especially the world that said when he is unhappy like he is this tournament he lets everyone see. He won't win the title this year he is miles off what he needs to do in terms of form.
 
He is a fantastic snooker player but he's making the mistake of thinking he's bigger than the game. The other players can't respect him after all his outbursts. At some point his powers will wane and he'll become history, unloved, unmissed and remembered only for being petulant.

There's no chance he'll be unloved, unmissed and only be remembered for being petulant.

Whatever he does from now until the end of his career, he will always be regarded as the player with the most natural ability. Also, some of his records will probably stand for generations.

Would love to see him win another World's.
 
He wobbled a bit during the last match with Williams. He's been happy playing in an empty arena due to the absence of disrespect from fans and media when arriving and leaving the Crucible and has been pretty relaxed.

Has his criticism of the overall standard caused unrest for himself?

It has been much better to watch this year due to the lack of fans.

One of my favourite sportsmen.Up there with Tiger Woods for ability and achievement.Cant understand how he has never won SPOTY.He has a personality as well as being the most naturally gifted player in his sport.
 
I absolutely love watching O'Sullivan and always want him to win. However, he is often an absolute **** and some of his comments ill judged and not thought through properly.
 
To be fair, what he said about the younger lads coming through is correct. They're not very good and they need to improve massively to compete.

Agree he shouldn't have said it mind!....Maybe it's what some of them needed to hear though to give them that extra motivation.

There are obviously other forces at play.

BBC has only a lifetime of another 2/3 years

He's right in what he is saying. O Sullivan Williams and Higgins should not be still making and winning semis and finals of the a world Champs. Hendry/Davis and Co didn't have the longevity of these three because of the talent that was coming through. On the BBC the other day they were saying in the year Ronnie and Co made their debut in Sheffield Cantona and Hughes were leading the front line for Man U.
