Ronaldo's brought his diving game back I see

I watched it live and I've watched your YouTube video (both times with my own eyes) but I disagree.
Disagree on your own opinion, but it not being given is not proof it shouldn't have been a penalty. He dived in and made contact with Ronaldo without touching the ball when the ball was still in play. I find it hard to believe that a free kick wouldn't have been given if it happened anywhere else on the pitch.

I thought it was a pen and just because he's dives previously doesn't make that one less of a penalty.

But as you say a game of opinions

Part of his game & football in general I dispice, why can't these match commentators call these players out, why can't the after match interviewers ask the managers after the game, "why do your players need to dive to fool the officials to give a penalty"

I thought they were both pens. Maybe it wasn't a clear and obvious wrong decision hence VAR not overturning, however, if ref had given them I don't think they would have been overturned either.

Some garbage in this thread, 2 of em should have been penalties.

Watching MOTD2 last night, looks like the VAR in the Brighton game was a shambles aswell. Brightons penalty should never have been given and Leicesters goal shouldn't have been disallowed.

He's always been a cheat.

He's a disgrace.

Can't knock his records and his talent.

But he will always be a cheat.

He cheats at every single opportunity, hence why he'll never ever be the GOAT.
They all cheat, sadlyits just accepted now as part of the game, no one question it when players cheat

Why opposing players get angry/complain when an opponent goes down as if hes been shot yet will happily watch if one of his teammates does it

The third one was a possibly penalty though he was already on his down before the challenge came if we’re being honest, but he shouldn’t have been on the pitch at that point as the two previous dives should’ve brought two yellow cards. I’d like to know why the referee didn’t book him for diving because I thought cautions for cheating were mandatory.

Cop out for me that. They might all cheat to a point (time wasting, appealing for decision etc) but some are far worse than others.

It's like defending Boris Johnson by saying all politicians lie.

Ronaldo is a bigger cheat than most footballers. That doesn't excuse others who cheat, but it also doesn't mean Ronaldo gets a pass either. He cheats more, so he deserves more criticism.
