Haha. He was on the One Show here last night. They were watching Sophie Ellis Bextor dancing and Jermaine Jenas asked him how long he could stay on the dance floor. Rod has reached that “I couldn’t give a toss phase” and replied

”depends how many substances I’d been on”. Cue the awkward of silences.
 
Well, watched that twice and it wasnt as bad as reported ... song is decent , rods voice is still good and he wasnt that pervy .... (waits for bricks .... )
 
With the Faces he was fabulous - mind that outfit was tighter than the skin making up Botox Betty's latest facelift

When you listen to him on Every Picture Tells a Story, with the likes of Mandolin Wind, Maggie May and Reason to Believe, he's as good a singer as you will hear. Now his on/off gravelly voice saves his blushes, because without it he’s toast.
 
I was working in Govan around 1986 and the lads I was working and digging with were all going to see him. I was reluctant to go thinking he was past it in 86 but got talked into it. It ended up being a really good night and I ended up with a scarf above my head giving it rock all to 'We are Sailing.'

I've liked Rod ever since but think it is time to give it up.
