Thought we were getting a bernardo silva type player got bernard matthews. The lads absolute turkey!!

Flair player with no control, no wonder NW didnt fancy him, desperate.

He ghosted past players a couple of times, if you can’t see a footballer when you watch him I feel sorry for you.

He blasted one well high and wide. Had another chance where he was unlucky not to bend it in but the shot should not even have been attempted. For the first time in about five seasons we had 5 men in the box. Six with Roberts. He should have crossed it. His distribution is poor he runs into cul de sacs and then tries to blast the ball through the defender in front of him. There may be a footballer in there but its not shining yet.

imsomewhere inbetween with him,he often looks good but so often little end product..as mentioned above his distribution is very poor.

He's the only player who in the words of Glenn Hoddle "can take the ball on the half turn".

That lets him look forward quickly instead of playing a safe easy ball at all times. It doesn't always work, but when it does gets the team attacking momentum.

Once he's up to speed he'll create chances. It's up to others to convert them. Roberts should be good for a few goals himself.

Hes trying hard to do the right thing - maybe too hard.
But we have a season to go - not just 8 games.
He`s been back only a matter of weeks - he needs to up his fitness, but thats a natural process.
What we need is a bit more movement up front - but we have to manage with nothing more than last season - whith Akpom and Fletcher unfit.
We know Brit is limited, so dont expect Roberts to do two jobs.
Onwards and upwards.
The team learns and grows together.

A player like Roberts is never going to shine against a team that puts 11 behind the ball. He looked better later on when operating in a more orthodox right-sided role. Unfortunately for him thats an area where we're not short of bodies.

Considering his inability to manage a full 90mins do you think he is a better option as a sub to come on for last 35mins when the game might be a bit more stretched. He would have run Coventry ragged in that last 10mins last night. Unfortunately he is never on the pitch for the end of the game!

More importantly, two great balls by Morsy and Browne for the goals. More of that please.
Roberts has played and will play an awful lot better than last night. He was rightly hooked and we won the match.

Yeah, possibly. But I don't think thats what he or the fans would accept.
His expectations haven't been helped by Woodgate's unnecessary Juninho comparison either.
