Roberts didn't do himself any favours tonight

He just doesn’t look fit. There’s obviously something going on with him, because if we can get him fit he’s a real asset for us.
 
He looked off the pace. Also quiet frustrating as in runs into trouble and didn't get his head up.

I just think he holds onto the ball one or two touches to many (he did last season).

He clearly isn't trusted defensively and did nothing to improve Warnocks opinion. That's simply why he hasn't been coming on when games are always tight. I fully expect Spence or Johnson to be in for him on Sat.

Agree with too many touches comment, I just wish he would pull the trigger when he gets sight of gol rather than continuing and running into dead ends.

He needs to play with his head up and look for the pass when it’s on and go for the run when it’s not.

Stop running down blind alleys and trying to do it all himself.
 
I'm a big fan of Roberts, but fully agree on the point about him taking extra, unnecessary touches. He's like the kid at school that was quality, but tried to continually prove it by taking everyone on again and again. He would be so much more effective if his decision making was that bit better.
 
Yeah, Roberts was poor. He needs 30 mins as subs in a few games to get his confidence and focus back then he will be fine but he just wasn't getting involved enough tonight
 
I think he will be very important second half of the season when we are trying to force wins in tight games.

As said above he needs more time on the pitch.
 
He's obviously got problems that we need to keep an eye on, resting him will also mean he won't be as sharp. Better than losing him for 3 months.
 
He can only go one way inside on to his left and can't see a pass or shoot because his head is always down.
Yet Maddison wants to play him in a free roll so he doesn’t have to mark anybody.
FFS even De Bruyne has to work back and pick people up and I think he contributes slightly more than Roberts.
Don’t worry Neil knows.
 
He certainly wasn't outstanding tonight, and yes, he needs more confidence to shoot. A few good touch's but a bit here and there. Jury's out for me
 
Needs to find a new sport hes garbage or go back to spl.

Just dont see what he offers never seen a player of his style (creative) that never looks up.
