RIP Fletch from Depeche Mode

Gutted by this. Been a massive fan since i was a kid and im 37 now. must have seen them about 11 or 12 times. Absolute pioneers. Devotional will be getting a airing tonight. RIP Fletch.
 
Absolutely devastated by this. They've been quiet for a few years now and I was hoping for a new album and tour this year but now this could be the end :cry:
 
So shocked by this, I have seen them too many times to remember and when all my mates were into “cooler“ music when I was a kid I latched onto Depeche mode and never stopped listening to their music.
They have been the musical constant since I became a teenager 40 plus years ago and feel like redcarbob that another part of youth has been eroded☹️
 
Too many of the great and good in music and film have fallen to the shadows in recent years.
I was just listening to a few of their songs from a 2017 performance recorded by R6M at the Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom on Tuesday night.

Stunned.

Wow..I was driving home from work tonight and ‘Enjoy the Silence’ came on the radio, so windows down and I cranked it up and sang my heart out. I actually thought after the song I wonder if they are still going like some other 80s bands…and then to hear this news 😞
