RIP Bill Kenwright

RIP Bill. Wonder if they’ll mention it in The Rovers Return, played Betty Turpin’s son.

Very sad news, yep remember him as Betty’s son.
He certainly was a well known producer and long standing Chairman of the Toffees. R.I.P

A guy I listened to on radio 2 with his very entertaining informative ramblings about the 60s pop industry . Have a safe journey

RIP Mr Kenwright.

Hypocrisy Fest at the next Everton home game
I was going to say something along these lines myself but felt it wasn't the time. I do agree with you though but we are all like this.

There has been a thread running on the Grand Old Team website since August 2022 with mixed views about Kenwright but as one poster states, 'whatever you thought of him, he was one of ours (blue) in the end'.

RIP

His only problem - according to an Evertonian mate - was he wouldn't relinquish control so was holding the club back (🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️). But for a lifelong Everton fan, bet that was nigh on impossible.

More sad football news ☹️☹️

Great Evertonian, spoke of his boyhood hero's and other great Everton players with such passion. Bought the club and apparently remortgaged his house to save it at the time. Like our own SG, he was rich enough to watch from the side lines in executive luxury, but no, they put themselves forward for their love of their club and risk their money and reputation and take the stick and abuse because its never good enough for some. I have never understood the critisism BK received from Everton fans, he bought someone in, they invested millions on players and have had some top managers and will have a state of the art new ground, what more could he done to try and bring success, sound familiar? Bit like our own SG an easy scapegoat when things don't work out on the pitch and everything else is forgotten.

RIP Bill
