RIP Bernard Cribbins

I remember going to Staithes and seeing Bernard being filmed for the children's programme, Old Jack's Boat.
An incredible career. Obviously a top, top bloke, as well as actor.
RIP

RIP. Such a long career, quite often pops up in the old black and white movies shown on BBC2 and C4 at the weekends. Childhood sadly diminishing these days.

Bordering on a national treasure status was Bernard - loved him. The voice of the Wombles, consummate Jackanory presenter, Carry On films hero in the early days, Just a lovely man who I had the pleasure to meet at Wimbledon dog track about 15 years ago.

🥲

Wonderful memories of Bernard he was indeed a true national treasure. Bernard and John Noakes were my absolute favourites as a kid they could make anything sound interesting.
