Ricky Jade Jones

If anyone looks at our message board - we probably have 2 players that they would get excited about

Depends whether we won that day, or lost.

If we lost then you'd find no one was even good enough for the conference league and were "stealing a living".

If we'd won however, they'd think they'd stumbled on Real Madrid's messageboard with everyone worth at least £40 million

Posh have picked up 4 points since early November; they probably don't care for any of their players just now.

He could dribble a bit too, I'll give him that.

However, I was never one of those who thought he was a champion's league player in the making. He's found his level as an occasional starter for PL middleweights.

I won't take that extraordinary 6-week bust he has away from him. He was unplayable during that time.

I think he’s had a much better career and a much better player than people give him credit for. Played well over 200 games in the premier league, played for Spain, played in a European championship, was one of Wolves best players when they got to the Semi finals of the UEFA cup, ripped Man City apart at least twice. Even this season he’s played in 19 out of 20 matches for Fulham. No way he does all that if he’s not a very good player.

I'm not, and have not, said he's a bad player. He definitely belongs in the PL.

He has had a very decent career.

Is he a world beater? Has he deserved to be at higher profile clubs than Wolves and Fulham? I'd argue not, though both have had some good times while he's been there.

Of the 7 seasons since he left us, he's been a regular starter for 2.

He originally came up in this conversation as I asked if there's more to Jade-Jones than pace. If there isn't, I wouldn't bother with him. I did accept there is more to AT than pace.
