Set to lose his medal because his teammate has had his 2nd sample come back positive. What a shame for the rest of the team.
BOA used to give lifetime bans from competing at the Olympics for drug offences until WADA and CAS intervened and said it was unlawful. I think it was after Chambers challenged them because he wanted to try and compete at London 2012I was reading the other day that the lad who tested positive will get a 2 yr ban.
If its proven they should ban him forever. The other 3 will have dreamed about getting an Olympic medal and have had it taken away from them by someone who couldn't hack it without cheating.
It's not bad luck getting caught it's negligence in managing your PED regime/schedule.Are they all tested these days or was he the 'unlucky' one?
Maybe he'll win the Victoria Cross for his bravery?Sad end and how brave he was to bring that medal back to his home town and show us.
but as above bolt lost his in same way.
Exactly this, he cheated really badly and got caught as a result. It's not bad luck getting caught it's negligence in managing your PED regime/schedule.
What a depressingly cynical and sadly probably accurate view of the world!Exactly this, he cheated really badly and got caught as a result.
Any decent drugs cheat would never get caught.
I don't doubt that but a lot of people being caught at the moment are doping in very clumsy manners that almost guarantee that they will be caught. It's not bad luck getting caught it's negligence in managing your PED regime/schedule.
