Revisiting albums from your youth

I’ve just randomly listened to SOAD - Toxicity on Apple Music, probably my first run through for over 15 years.

Absolutely brilliant, brought back memories from my school days, but also the album is musically superb, and some of the lyrics really hit me as an adult which went over my head as an adolescent listening to it previously.

Anybody had any older stuff on lately that my ears might be grateful for a listen of?

I've randomly been getting into Disintegration by the Cure again, which is odd as these days I tend to just do tracks rather than albums per se.

I'm guilty of playing a lot of stuff from my youth and university days (probably to the detriment of discovering new stuff).

The one band that have really grabbed me now (and who didn't really back in the day) are That Petrol Emotion. So much good stuff!

Did you hear the “Protect the Land” EP SOAD did fairly recently?

I’ve been buying up CDs from my younger days on eBay for £1-3 on average. Got a bit of a collection going. Loving it.

I often listen to RWA by the Sundays and sounds as fresh today as it did back then. An album for all ages

I occasionally dip in to some of my favourite albums from the 80s and 90s but there's none I listen to as often as RWA
