Repeat phone-calls

Is anyone else receiving repeat phone-calls on their mobiles from the likes of Carphone Warehouse?

It`s always a mobile number for which I`ve blocked 5 separate numbers and when you lodge any response that you're not interested they just hang up

How on earth are you supposed to go about blocking calls like this when companies will have 100's of different numbers to call you on?

I don’t answer any number that is not in my phone book, if it’s important they will leave me a message. Also don’t own a land line.
 
There was a guy on TV yesterday who's devised an AI system to keep spammers on the line for half an hour by giving reasonable responses to everything the spammer says. That's a lot of time wasted.
