Sunday 14th November this year is Remembrance Sunday, when we all pay respect to all those around the world who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. We also pay our respects to all those who have served and those still serving.

Not sure if we have a service this Sunday in the village. It was cancelled last year. I assume its going ahead this year and my wife my daughter and I generally go. My daughter used to be a brownie so was part of the parade.

I was shocked at my place of work on Thursday. No email to staff, everyone kept working, radio still on, Teams calls ongoing, people chatting.

I just stopped work and sat quietly at my desk for 2 minutes, head down.

I'm a contractor there so didn't feel that I could make representation to management 😔

I was one of the lucky ones. Came home to my family from the Gulf, and from Former Yugoslavia.
I will remember those that didnt.
Paid my respects on Thursday at 11:00am. I was in the middle of an exam so i told the invigilator i was stopping for 2 minutes and to add that time onto the end if i needed it.
On Sundayi will be part of the Eston parade and laying the wreath on behalf of the RAF. Then we will go to the club and toast the fallen, and absent friends.
