The Sunderland thread got me thinking about the frequency with which the 3 newly promoted teams are now coming straight back down to the championship. As a rule I don’t like them tinkering with the game so have included do nothing as an option, but I wonder if there are any ways of spicing it up a bit down there?
Option A)
Make 18th position a play off position against the team in 17th so at least potentially giving one of the newly promoted teams a shot at staying up?
Option B)
Totally rip it up and make the bottom 6 a series of one legged survival play offs.
20th v 15th
19th v 16th
18th v 17th
All played at Wembley over course of a weekend.
Option C)
Do nothing, if you go down you go down.
