Regaining our sovereignty

We have lots of internal borders now that are monitored everyday by the various police forces using ANPR cameras, They are very helpful in dealing with cross border crime for example. I don’t see the problem with what Gove has said. It seems sensible to have a plan given brexit is happening, they would be shot down if they didn’t tbf.

i'm not sure I understand your post. Are you saying that we have controlled borders preventing us from travelling from one part of the UK to another?

No I am just saying we have internal borders currently and that they are already monitored by the police in order to prevent crime and intercept criminals. The monitoring of trucks without approved licences via ANPR seems a sensible step. How is an ANPR preventing you as a British citizen travelling to kent or anywhere else. They have to have to have a system to enable the licensing and monitorIng of importing and exporting of goods, every trading area of the world does.

This border isn't for trucks entering Kent from abroad it is for those entering from other parts of the UK on the way out of the country.

We have the Transporter Bridge / River Tees as our natural border crossing - if you come into the People's Republic of Teesside from the Port Clarence side ;)
