Refill Shop - Billingham

Just been having a good Boro conversation with a Boro and England fan running the Refill shop in Billingham Town Square shopping centre.
Great place to go to refill empty shampoo, shower gel, washing up liquid etc etc and help save the planet from plastic. They weigh in the bottle and then you choose which of the different refills you want. Refills come in a range of different types and a couple of set prices. Am sure you know how it goes and the shop people do your filling for you.
Anyway he is a good Boro fan and what he is doing is really worthy of support I think.

They’ve been around for years maybe these type of shops need more promoting in the current climate .
I remember going to fine fare as a kid it was always a novelty seeing big tubs of stuff you could help yourself to

They have been around for years. I guess it's a bit like pick n mix though in that for most of them you don't know who's been sticking their hands in etc. fruit and veg you can wash but not corn flakes

Nobody touches the products in this store, its dispensed from bottom a bit like an optic

That is right - it is not a shop of scoops and barrels - everything is dispensed for you or in a hygienic way etc.

How do the prices compare to normal shop prices? With the current climate how it is and prices soaring everywhere a lot of people are looking for cheaper alternatives
