Visit Heritage Unlocked at 5.15pm (Thursday 21st May) for an illustrated, first-hand account of life in early twentieth century Teesside including memories of schools, shops and steelworks. This is the actual voice recorded in the 1980s and newly digitised of a former steelworker with memories of the shops and life in early 20th century St Hildas, Middlesbrough
 
Quite emotional - I tuned in and it was my grandma - imagine hearing a voice that you haven't heard in over 25 years. Wow...

Rob, do you by any chance have any access to the "Teesside Fettlers" music. They did some brilliant Old Teesside songs. I had a couple of old cassette tapes of theirs but lost them when burgled years ago.
