Redcar races today

Anyone got any tips to help us beat the bookies?
It’s a typical Redcar card. Some low grade stuff, which look like difficult puzzles with a few out of form lurkers who could pop up.

A few each way fancies.

1st Race - Darker hasn’t got a great deal of form to recommend but he’s been steadily getting the hang of things (IMO). The race is pretty desperate with a load of horses who rarely win, so happy to have a small each way play at 12/1 on the hope he finds some more improvement.

Penultimate race I would hope Motarajel would give a good run for my money. Decent Handicap mark, back onto better ground and came 3rd in the same race last year when 3lbs higher in the weights. He’s my main bet of the day.

I backed Oviedo this morning in the Zetland at 4’s. He’s been chopped in to 5/2 which I wouldn’t take now but could drift out again. Bethell stable are in very good form at the moment.

Good luck whatever you end up backing 👍

I like the look of Oviedo too, he ran Chaldean, the 2000 guineas winner to 3 3/4L over 7f as 2 yr olds has won on g/f going too. The step up to 10f is a little unknown though, but his breeding suggests it should not be an issue on handicap debut. It is a competitive race though as you’d expect given the prizemoney. Balding sending his horse up from Newbury is a likely player too.

I like the look of a horse of Jack Channon‘s (Jungle Mac) it has not run yet, but sending it 257 mile up to redcar for its debut suggests it will go well, it is a skinny price in a novice race though, so perhaps best watched on debut.

I like this as trained by a Mrs R Carr so if her firsr name is Red, then is is fate and it's nailed on. I've gone big at 1 gold coin Easy Win (EW)
Yeah, didn’t quite pan out today. Thought he travelled well enough into it but didn’t finish off.

Looks like it’ll help to be drawn in the low numbers on the straight track today.
