Red Faction??? Was there a boycott?

Can't hear the 12th man from the south stand/ SW upper .( sadly)
Red Faction were not in the stadium , no drum or energy from lower south.
Atmosphere was poor from Boro fans in general, out sung by 1,500 Coventry all game.
The concourses were full after half time with people who had lost interest and belief .
If it was a protest against the fan ban , I agree it was too harsh and should be reviewed , a slap on the wrist and a warning is enough.
We are all on the same side , fans need to man up and support the team , because they need it .
He broke the law, get over it. Does that mean you think everyone who breaks the law should just get a slap on the wrist and a warning 🤔

Not only did he break the law and get caught. The RF tried to organise this "display" on some sort of anniversary or theirs, nothing to do with the football club. They tried to hide the identity of the flare holder using a banner over their heads and pulling their hats down and shuffling around to try to make identification difficult/impossible for the club. It was also IIRC "performed" whilst we were getting beat.

No sympathy from me. Same with prats who run on the pitch. FAFO.

I noticed the absence of the RF but didn't miss them. If they want to boycott crack on, perhaps organise a self flagellation protest in Captain Cooks Square next Saturday at 3?

Divvies.

Let’s face it. They’re angry that they thought they had a way to break the law and get away with it despite repeated warnings from the club for doing it previously. They’re probably feeling guilty for their mate, knowing they’re partly responsible and it could have been any one of them. The punishment may be harsh but it’s likely to stop people doing it in future. I’m not sure some of the suggestions would have.

I have always supported them but I feel this year they are isolating themselves from the fans around them,
1st asking to be seated in a new area and not really caring about the history of the people who already might be seated there,
2nd then. when arriving there they showed their displeasure at their new neighbours by placing notes about their neighbours using mobiles, they didn't ask you to sit there.
and now
3rd despite being given precedence in their seat locations and kicking out long term season ticket holders they have decided to not turn up in their seats because one of their number had a marine flare at the match and was banned, they knew the possible consequences that's why jt was hidden at the match.

Maybe now you have gone from being an asset to the other fans and the club in in the last 16 years and just a self serving group , it's time to **** off!

Has anyone actually contacted rf08 to ascertain the truth?
All I've read on numerous threads, so far, about the situation vis-à-vis their absence on Saturday is pure conjecture, unfounded assumptions and nonsense. The lad who got charged and found guilty doesn't represent the whole of rf08. Guilt by association isn't guilt.

No, nobody has a clue what the truth is, there’s been that many different stories going round certain people just believe the first thing they see. What would they achieve by boycotting 1 game for a lad who’s been given a 5 year ban

It's a full blown toys out of the pram.
Nah not for me

1 game I`d have agreed and you`d come back as a group with a cheeky little banner of support to one of the group and absolutely nail their commitment and passion

but they haven`t which says to me that it`s a little bit more than being ***ed that one of their own (if that is true) was banned.
