Red Faction??? Was there a boycott?

1 person lit it, others may have been in involved in hiding that it was lit. The whole RF shouldn’t be vilified for it, but the individuals involved have to take it on the chin, they broke the law
I sit in the SW upper and watched the whole thing. It certainly was a group thing. They started milling about in their seats (which was what drew my eye) pulled their hats down and then erected a banner over their heads before lighting the flare. Now those holding the banner may not have known that the flare was to be lit but they knew that "something" was going on with the seat swapping and hats thing.

I'm not vilifying anyone. It was a stupid thing to do and they are making themselves look even stupider by flouncing (assuming that is what is happening). As ever there are two sides to every story and perhaps RF or a representative or someone who knows someone could offer an alternative explanation of what happened, what is happening and why.

...and that is the crux of this, there's been a prosecution, so the ball is in RFs court if they feel this is unjust and want their say

I'll grab hold of the balloon and tie it down again, before it takes off:
Only they will decide what they are going to do next............let's wait and see.

Personally, I'm pzzd off because they sold out of those Boro bucket hats and I couldn't get hold of one

"They" follow the board, so they will be aware of our concerns(y)

I’m guessing they’ll be loving the attention 😏

Because if you or me had gone onto the perimeter of the pitch we would be facing a court appearance and a lengthy ban.
Would it not just depend on the circumstances? Do you not have to prove some sort of loss or damage for it to result in a court appearance?

Really not sure Newy but generally if you go onto the pitch it's a ban regardless.
Yeah, generally. There will be circumstances where it doesn’t lead to court or even a ban.

Like if someone who was blind was mislead or if a giant wasp attacking someone..

@Pauliej cheers for that.. yeah.. so lawful authority or lawful excuse could be like an agreement with the club to use common sense and to police themselves. Right?

I would say that passing a banner across in a gesture of well accepted goodwill would fall under that.

Assuming who ever did it was as polite and respectful as possible with it.. not throwing windmills or chucking darts!

Reading between the lines Newy it wasn't agreed with the club beforehand, he just took it upon himself to walk around the pitch to the Bristol City end. Not the greatest idea I guess but the two match ban seems about right.

Hand it to Bristol City fans outside before the game. Give it to a steward or copper to pass over to them. Walk to the netting and try to give it to a Bristol City fan. Give it to a club official to give to Bristol City fans. Drape it over the advertising board to show the message and then ask a steward to take it over.

There was a load of options available without breaking the law, but the RF/member decided to choose the only option that was punishable.

240th post.
There’s some bed wetters in our support.

Same people who go on about San Siro and Dortmund being great atmosphere's then want to sit in a soulless riverside.

The group would absolutely love our stadium to be right up there with the best, which could be achieved. Shame it probably won’t be
