Really disappointing

I still have faith in Warnock but think he got it wrong today with his team selection. Only change from Saturday should have been Coulson for Johnson.

Fletcher and Britt worked so well together at Stoke and kept their defenders on their toes. Britt was ineffetive today (the penalty aside). He generally is when asked to play as a lone striker.

Yep, was a questionable decision and it never paid off. Disappointed. Hope he brings him back in on Sunday. Only players who played well for me were Howson and McNair. Everyone else was garbage.

Thought he got it wrong with his changes as well. Should have brought on Clayton for Spence. Our three midfielders kept winning us back the ball and retained it well in the 1st half, and I thought that changed after Wing came on.

We had so much of the ball there but the final ball was awful every time - Britt may as well have had the day off, an then I sucker punch at the end - very annoying as a point would have been ok after beating Stoke

They won so many headers it was untrue. Moukoudi should have been in the team for me. George and Fry is not a great CB pairing in a 4. We lack height at the back.

Wing was weak as ****, like playing with 10 men today when he came on, crying out for fletcher but not for britt. Also dead on our feet after 75 minutes yet didnt use all of the subs - why???

Thank god for wigan getting 12 point deduction, that could make all of the difference, squad needs a massive overhaul if we manage to scrape staying up, why was there no midfielders ever on the box when we got forwards, saville and mcnair hardly ever look to get in the box to support our lone striker

Probably Wing's worst game of the season.

I think only Howson came out of that with any credit.
Friend was playing okay, but I've not watched their winner back as I was too busy punching holes in the wall, I'd guess he was at fault.

Very disappointing that! We looked in total control in the second half and the game was for the taking. Same old story though - No quality delivery into the box or shots on goal. Things looked up a bit when Tavernir came on and his disallowed goal looked perfectly good - even to the Sky pundits.

All in all - there won't be an easy escape from this - we can only hope that we scrape through and let Warnock (hopefully) build a team that can compete.

I Haven't been as gutted after a defeat in a long while - anyway, hope we can bounce back V QPR

Johnson had 3 men at the back post and he ignored them .
Freind and the others should have seen he was being overloaded , it's not hard to open your eyes . Freind should have been in that area but was ball watching and not marking anyone . You defend as a team , and we didn't . Schoolboy errors

Wigan are in good form. Even a 12 point deduction might not send them down.

The pressure is right on Boro now. If Stoke beat Barnsley on Saturday then Boro drop into the bottom 3.

It's so frustrating watching Boro. A thousand short passes in midfield, then a cross that ends in the stand or straight at the defender. And for about 5 seasons now, a late goal conceded on so many occasions. I think just about everyone knew it was coming this evening.

What do they do in training? There never seems to be any cohesion, understanding or teamwork. It's like watching 11 blokes who are all quite good players but they've just been introduced to each other half an hour before kick off.

I hope I'm wrong but I feel very despondent after watching that. I think relegation is pretty likely now. I just don't see another team bad enough to let Boro beat them.

I thought Hull were shockingly bad - couldn’t see them scoring in the second half at all. We were poor as well admittedly but we had plenty of possession but no end product. It depends whether we can find a way of making possession into chances and goals

Thought it was strange he didn't start with Fletcher and Britt up front.....and then waited yonks to bring on Fletch - but took off Britt!
Poor performance all round - especially after a great start!
So many of our players got worse as the game progressed.
Ah well, bring.on QPR!

I think we have to accept the team selection wasn't ideal considering the stoke game, think he wanted to shore up the left hand side (annoyingly where both goals came from).

That aside the ref ruined much of the game and they got lucky with one chance at the end which should have been dealt with.

We looked terrified of shooting unless it was clear cut in the box and crossing was woeful.

That said we were still aggressive and created nice movements at times.

Go back to 2 up top drop Johnson for coulson and hopefully Spence was just a little knock and I think we will be fine.

Play that game out a few times and Boro win more than Hull, they were absolutely awful. Got carried away in victory let's not get carried away in defeat.

The wine's helping!

Let's face it, The damage was done earlier in the season with bang average performances and questionable team selection. Stepping back a bit - we have 2 performances under NW and we look way better - on another day it would have been 2 wins - OK - I'm trying to stay positive and take something from this. I think we will be ok and hopefully bounce back v QPR
