What was the atmosphere like? Was it a big crowd? Imagine wilder than a normal el Classico with 50% fans from both sides..

There was 4 teams in the Supercup. And how about the 32 countries that took part in the World Cup? Don’t try and make out that it’s just 2 teams in Spain who are fine with it. Teams and sports people all over the world are absolutely fine with accepting blood money, not just these ones. Both teams are desperate to bridge the financial gap between themselves and their Premier League counterparts. If that means playing a game in the home of a murderous regime they're absolutely fine with that.
I didn't say that these particular principles applied only to Madrid and Barcelona but they are the two teams being discussed in this thread. Unfortunately the majority of the sporting world are happy to take the Saudi cash; the country essential controls boxing, bankrolls much of golf, football and soon will also be a big player in franchise cricket. There was 4 teams in the Supercup. Maybe bridging the gap isn't right, more they're afraid of the English teams' revenue accelaration. Also, aren’t Madrid and Barca both in the top 5 clubs in the world for revenue? Not sure they are trying to bridge the gap to the premier league teams, they are already mostly ahead?
I think it’s more on the Spanish FA to be honest. They are probably trying to bridge there gap to the Premier League.
