Rav to Koln official

Good deal for all ... if he was the lynchpin of a water tight defence last season then i'd be more bothered, but he carried a lot of injuries and was inconsistent.

No criticism of Rav, he's still very young, and i think he will have a long career playing top flight football.

But this deal makes good sense right now.

Crikey - didn’t realise there were only two options

I don’t know it could be in this situation for all we know, just kept in house. Each player that leaves will have a different reason I would have thought for both himself and the club

I think we can agree that he wants away, is it not better to get rid and use the space/funds on somebody who does?

Could have a prime Messi but he don’t wana be here and just upsets the team etc.. then are we not better off with somebody who does and will give all for the shirt?

Good luck to him. I hope he starts showing more of the player from two seasons ago. He has a lot of potential. Great deal for everyone involved.

Good luck to him, excellent 1st season at a young age, tough 2nd season, made us some decent cash. Almost certainly turn out to be a bargain for Koeln.

He will become a full international in time, comfortable with the ball at his feet, likes a challenge, I am sorry he has gone but we needed a sale and he wanted a step up, he is ambitious and will have noted his under 21 colleagues progress at some top clubs. I feel it was for the best for everyone. I am surprised someone like Palace never came in for him tbh. I hope we have a sell on, if he stays fit I can see a £30M move to a top PL club

Will certainly be interesting to see how he progresses, I wish him all the best.

Hopefully we can now use the money to sign a few of our targets.

Thanks for the €. Not bothered at all that's he's moved on. Very very pleased we have Jones instead. And that we finally have a very decent right back in Brittan.

We made a tidy sum on him and he gets to play in the top German League - if he plays well we get more money.

Sounds a reasonable deal all round.

I agree he was nothing special in our defence, but he is just 21.

I tend to believe Sky and the BBC on the fee - they tend to serve an international audience, while German Media is more localised and trying to please a more local audience.
