If this is going to go ahead then I'd like us to get his replacement in before he leaves. If we don't then whichever club we are buying from will try and push the price up.
I know it's not easy, but it pains me how long we take to finalise the squad and even moreso, how long we let outgoings run into the end of the window.

Arguably Ayling and Lenihan might never return to the level we require..that’s a bigger call.

We have too many players anyway, the way to improve is by removing the worst players and adding ones higher in quality, so these would naturally be the ones to sacrifice for me.

I cannot for the life of me fathom why we let Clarke go and signed Edmondson on a permanent in January.

I don't think it really works like that in reality though. Every player has a price as the selling club, we just don't go above the maximum we value them as. They're still not going to turn it down if it's a good deal for them, or they need to sell etc, irrespective of the money we have.
 
Still a lot of development needed with Rav.
I’d take £15m.

He’s always struck me as thinking he’s done us a favour by coming here.

Am unsure he’ll make it at the top level - but time is on his side.

how has he stuck you he thinks he's done us a favour? Have you spoken to him about it?

The way I'm looking at it is, remove the players who are not good enough to take us the next step and replace them..we definitely have too much much dead wood in that squad using up resources that could be better spent on other players.

Again I would agree - but I don’t think the club would class the players we think are deadwood as deadwood …. Plus we would only be left with 6 players! 😂
