Rav to Brentford ?

Would be a good move for him if there’s any truth in it, having his brother there would surely be a significant influence.

I think he will be worth considerably more than £15m in the next couple of years, but it's probably the maximum we will get for him given the time left on his contract. Given we bought him for about £200,000 I think, and got one excellent and one OK season out of him, it would be another excellent bit of business by the club.

Would need big if can’t add ons at that price. 50 games / 100 games / sell on clause / international cap / 25 international caps / major finals appearances

He had a pretty dreadful season but the defensive shape of the team was a shambles as a whole. Lots of potential so would be a shame if we lost him now. Regardless we need new defenders urgently as we simply can't go into another season relying on the likes of Fry.

His body language at times last season indicated that he was unhappy, I guess he saw us a route to the PL which never materialised for him. For £15m I'd cash in on him and replace him with a leader at the back.

You’re making a lot of assumptions there. He has never been anything but professional. He had reasons to be unhappy with our performances as well as his own. It has been revealed since the end of the season that he had a knee operation last season. I think £15m is a reasonable fee for him but if he stays, I expect nothing but 100% commitment.

At times he was excellent for us. Great business model for the club if he is sold for circa £15 million. We sign very good prospect at minimal cost and agree to let him go at a price which hopefully has real chance of being increased substantially in the future.

It makes the club look attractive to other prospects.

We need to operate in the way the likes of Brentford and Brighton have shown us is possible to get back into the top flight and stay there.

I'm making assumptions based on what I saw. He was gesticulating a lot at his team mates, looked very unhappy with what was going on around him even though he wasn't exactly pulling up any trees himself. I'm not sure if that is the top level of professionalism but I guess we all have our own bar for what we see as acceptable performance. He's young so I get that he isn't fully developed mentally yet so maybe I'm being a little harsh.

I totally agree though that if he stayed we'd need him to be right at the top of his game again. He was very good at times in his first season, he was decidedly average last season.

Personally I think he'll be off and we do need experience and consistency rather than potential to get out of this league. If he stays though he does still have it in him to be a great asset if he can sort himself out.

I think that’s just who he is, it’s not mature, but then that’s the point he’s not matured yet.
