Ration coupons

No because this would need to be administered policed and would be an open chequebook for fraudsters.

You thinking Private Walker ?

Well I wouldn't join that queue - and if that nurse has to do that after a 48 hour shift then its just shameful

I walked in to the supermarket Saturday and there was actually less people than a normal Saturday. We also have thousands of Corona positives.
Everything was available. Just someone on the door asking people to hand sanitise with free sanitiser.

Common sense has prevailed.
Brits are just fekin stupid

As to black market / fraud then yes inevitable and swapping a bacon for bog roll coupon might happen. But these are extraordinary times and those queue scenes are simply not acceptable when it is not necessary

you don't need rationing.

there is enough food and associated materials for everyone - loads of the food stockpiled last week wont be eaten, its a complete waste of money time and effort. but you know, people are fragile and need their comforts.

It seems unbelievable but one national chain has made millions this last week - on what? Freezers and fridges.

Rationing would screw over loads of industries and businesses relying on food trade. There isn't a shortage, its just because everyone is buying all at once. Even then, have been to many shops over the last 2 weeks and not struggled to get anything at all.
