Add in any I've missed
Bellingham #1 for me. A kid that young with that much football intelligence playing in the hardest part of the pitch for a young player. Natural athlete, can do it all technically. Reminds me of what Pogba could be if he was motivated, can see him being one of the best midfielders in the world, another Gerrard.

Foden #2. So technically gifted and improving so fast. My questions with him are that I’m not sure he could play for any team, he’d have to play for a Pep - too small for midfield and not a typical quick winger/forward, so he needs a team where he can do that Iniesta thing, but my god he’s special for a 20 year old.

Grealish and Mount joint #3. Grealish I think is at the top of his potential now so doesn’t really count but I love his mentality, so brave and a proper maverick playmaker who wants the ball all the time. Mount is a brilliant footballer and reminds me of a David Platt type or a Giggs or a Lampard. Managers absolutely love him, intelligent, reliable, first name on any team sheet even though he’s not a spectacular player. He’ll have a long career at the very top.

Gonna go Sancho #5 but he could be bottom. Wasn’t sure how he’d fit at United before he signed and the answer so far is not very well. Worrying that he’s never really had an excellent game for England or United at that top level. Had an amazing start in the Bundesliga, and I only saw highlights but of all of them he’s the one who I think relies on pace and being the main man more than the rest. To be honest I don’t rate him any higher than say Rashford, a good, quick forward but there’s a few of them around.

#6 Saka. I like him but don’t see a lot of Arsenal so only judging from England games and highlights. Great energy, love the way he plays like it’s park football.

The one you’ve missed is Mason Greenwood, who I’d put in #2 or #3.

Now he is unique, in this age of quick interchangeable forward players who don’t score loads you don’t see many cold eyed finishers like him. He is LETHAL. I can see him scoring a lot of goals for United and England if Ronaldo doesn’t get in his way. He flies under many people’s radars and had a transitional season last year but when he first came into the United team and was scoring for fun I got a bit of Rooney/Kane level excitement.

If I had to pick two English players from the last five years with the highest potential, I’d go Bellingham and Greenwood.
