Rangers knocked out of the cup by the dog and duck at home

We paid off all our debts and were able to show enough working capital to continue.
Rangers weren't able to do that and had to start again.

With that in mind I don't actually know why we had to form a new company if all the debts were paid anyway.
Maybe something to do with Football League deadlines?
Or did we think by forming a new company we would be able to start again debt free in the way Rangers (and others) have? Or at last pay a small percentage of debts.
But the Football League put a stop to that in order to 'crucify a small football club'.
I think we'd initially hoped to shed debt, like many clubs prior to 86. By the time it was clear that the rules had changed (or the interpretation and enforcement) we'd run out of time.

Were we liquidated ?
I have no idea of this process, I know we were in administration and they have to find the new buyers or accept the proposal of the new buyers. We did - Did Gibson accept the old club must be wound up and accept insolvency (Liquidation) ?

I think Slf Duffield put the Club into administration when they couldn’t repay the money he’d lent and cheeky sod Amer came in for £100 grand for the sports hall his company built and wasn’t even built to correct specifications
Squash courts where the floors weren’t even an fire doors that opened onto big drops

Dont know if i heard it right but talksport today said rangers wage bill was 60+ million! Thought that seemed alot. The average wage was 25k compared to 900 quid for queens park. Puts it in perspective

Quite a few English National League players get more than £900 per week.

Rangers have a very big squad, because of cup games both in Scotland and Europe.

Administration? The Insolvency Act 1986 introduced Administration as a way for companies to protect themselves from creditors while restructuring their business. It probably was not an option for MFC at the time, so it would have been either liquidation or bankruptcy.

They're not quite the minnows I first took them to be.

5th in the Scottish 2nd tier and now professional. It's not quite like losing to Berwick.

Still, hugely embarrassing for Rangers.
Queens Park used to be an amateur team, and always proud of it. The club motto reflects that. It changed about 5 years ago.

Scotland had a long tradition of amaterism in almost all sports. Queens Park was about the last bastion of that. It was a shame really because over the years a lot of good players at Glasgow and Strathclyde universities played for Queens Park at the weekend.

One, maybe more, National League North player is on £1500 a week
Darlo players probably on a third of that at most
