Randy's Hip Hop/Rap Thread.

Black Thought is insane, this blows my mind.

That is incredible.

A relative newcomer to the genre but "Cheat Codes" last year (Black Thought + Danger Mouse) was my gateway drug. Stunning album.

They came together on this after 21 savage said Nas was no longer relevant. Fair play to nas for not taking it personally and reaching out to him.

Nas teaming up with top producers (Hit-Boy) is putting out great albums.

checkout Kings Disease II and Kings Disease III

Bob Vylan (feat. Laurie Vincent) - The Delicate Nature (Chimpizm Remix)..................................pretty good remix of a track that came out last year.

Two more great acts too. There are so e Danny Brown songs I can't get into but I think that's more to do with his style of delivery than anything else.
It took me a while to get into him as well, I remember when XXX was very popular in the underground and I’d start it, get a few tracks in and turn it off. Love him now though.

I had a similar problem when I got into El-P but more so his production, I’d never heard production like that before and it almost hurt my head at first but I got it eventually and he’s one of my favourite artists now.

I don't really know whether this could be called rap or just some fusion of that and poetry
It is intense though

It shows off his multi-talents in good effect as well as his tortured soul. I've got a lot of respect for everything I've heard from the Welsh lad tbh.👍

And lastly, this for managing to encapsulate a particular subgenre Hiphop took in later years...😁

It's shorter than the other 2 uploads too!
