I would always buy a badge off the badge sellers on the way to games at the RiversideI always remember there used to be scarf sellers along the underpass, leading to the Riverside.
This would have been back in the late 90's, when we were averaging 34k every game.
Can remember buying a Teletubbies and Simpsons Boro scarf
I remember that happening during the 81/82 relegation season several times. Bobby Murdoch also picking up the scarf they dropped on the pitch. Loads of late 70s and early 80s Boro memories, but particularly all the lads running on the patch at the end of the game and the casuals in the East End seats.I can't remember which match it was, but in the early or mid-80s we were playing so badly that a bunch of lads ran on the pitch and sat in the centre circle in protest.
Anybody else remember that? Would love to know which game it was.
randomly:
• lads in Butchers coats hanging around boot boy alley
• stomp stomp clap
• the sway in a packed holgate
• the lights going out v Leicester
• the smell of Tiger Balm as the teams ran out
all lovely memories
Match report, well very little of it
the old score board in the North Stand needed the programme to decipher which game was which - If I remember rightlyThe half time scores, which was a bit like cracking the Enigma code.

Wasn’t the Day we beat the geordies 3-0 the last time he did it. - daft tw@Steve Watson’s weird cartwheel thrown-in.
Not childhood, but getting the last pint in the yella rose at ten to three and still getting into the Holgate as the power game started.Opening the door in the Westminster and a cloud of smoke emerging and then going into the pub to fill that void.
