Ran Fiennes

Yes me and the Father went, didn't even realise he was on until last week.

Incredible human being with what I can only describe as the driest sense of humour I have ever come across. I can't tell if his comparison of weight loss against an Auschwitz inmate was missed by the majority of the crowd or just not received well!

Could still be sat there now listening to him, hard to cram all of those tales into a 2 hour talk. His film looks worth a watch!

I watched him at the Town Hall last year and really enjoyed it. I don't know if it was noticeable last night but you could see his health was impacting on him and struggled to control the direction of his laser pointer when talking about slides.

He's certainly lived some life.

100% - you could visibly see his Parkinson's kicking in. Both hands and legs were shaking whilst he was talking but still gave an exceptional presentation.

It didn't detract from my experience either, it just made me wonder how sharp he must have been when he was younger.

I am really looking forward to his film.

Another one doing the rounds at the moment is Tim Peake. You might have already seen him but if you haven't, try and get to see him. Like Fiennes, I could have listened to him all night.

Turns out his film is already out! It came out in July this year. The way they put it on screen on Tuesday night made me believe it was due to come out July 2023.

You can watch it on Amazon Prime for £3.99 or buy it for £9.99.

My wife went to see him at the town hall, last year I think. She had a photo taken with him before it started as he supports an African charity she used to be involved with. An amazing man. If only I had 1 ounce of his drive, I'd be happy :)
