Raab

Can't stand the guy me, watching him in the commons when Boris was on the ropes, taking flack from all sides & he's sat there with mock pantomine outrage on his face at every attack! A face you'd never tire of giving a right slap!🙈

I don’t like the man but there is absolutely no suggestion that he is accused of being inappropriate in that way.

I don’t know if there’s any truth to it but there has been suggestions that he has shown inappropriate behaviour towards women.

A man who always looks like he's barely keeping a lid on suppressed anger.

Wouldn't want to be around when he finally snaps.

Thats over 5 years ago and no evidence was given to support the claim... again it is wrong to use that against him no matter how much you/I think he is a t i t.

We don’t know if there’s any truth in it.

Would be no surprise though would it? 30+ people saying he’s a bully, he clearly has anger and power issues.

And remember, that was an internal Tory party document!

My mate was a senior civil service in the Foreign Office for a bit. No suggestion that he was inappropriate towards women but from what he says the bullying claims are almost certainly true.

Basically Raab was out of his depth, knew he was out of his depth, insecure and not really trusted by the PM to make decisions. And therefore had a tendency to take it out on those who worked for him.

"In 2017, Mr Raab was branded "offensive" by then-Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron after saying "the typical user of a food bank is not someone that's languishing in poverty; it's someone who has a cash flow problem"."

"Mr Raab angered then-Home Secretary Theresa May by describing some feminists as "obnoxious bigots" in an online article also claiming men were getting "a raw deal"."

"he has continued to anger opponents with some of his comments, in 2020 telling talkRadio's Julia Hartley-Brewer he would only "take the knee" - go down on bended knee - for "the Queen and the Mrs when I asked her to marry me"."

"As foreign secretary, Mr Raab was heavily criticised for his handling of the aftermath of the fall of Afghanistan, specifically for remaining on holiday in Crete while the Taliban marched back to power."

"Dominic Raab is facing a much broader bullying investigation than originally anticipated with at least 24 civil servants involved in formal complaints against him, the Guardian understands.

Downing Street confirmed in December that the Raab was facing eight formal complaints over alleged bullying, six of them from his first stint at the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), one from when he was foreign secretary and one from when he ran the Brexit department.
However, sources said that all but two of the formal complaints involved multiple accusers. A number of his private office staff from his first stretch at the MoJ are among those believed to have made submissions. The total number of complainants is thought to be at least two dozen, and could be more than 30, sources claim."

That's enough for me even outside of the list. He narrowly got re-elected in 2019, no chance next election.

"Officials close to the inquiry are said to have been shocked by some of the claims that have emerged, including individuals being physically sick before meetings, regularly in tears and, in more than one case, left feeling suicidal as a result of the alleged behaviour."

Nah, disagree. He looks the type of bloke who is "handy" when the other person is much smaller than him. Women, kids etc.

Stick him in a pub with a load of scaffolders and reckon his anger will remain within. Just another bullying sh*thouse, tripping on power.

Smalldickenergy-tastic.

Which is the typical trait of a classic bully.

You're missing my point mate.

I don't disagree that the guy is a muppet... it was the suggestion above that the matter is also of a sexual nature when there is nothing to suggest so is what I can't stand by.

I have seen a very close friend be branded something similar without a shred of evidence to back it up. He lost everything including his wife and kids due to one person deciding they couldn't deal with him rejecting an advance on a night out. He went through 3 weeks of hell.

The police dealt with it, however the damage was done and the gossip and lies were spread to the point he tried to kill himself. His home life never recovered and he split with his Mrs last year.

we all need to be careful around these subjects until the truth is known.... ultimately you have no idea what one false suggestion can do to the people concerned.

I heard someone saying yesterday about bring back Boris Johnson...the must corrupt PM in our history,I can't figure out the mentality of some people in this country I really can't.
This government will simply line their pockets because they know the games up...quicker they go the better

I can't remember which comedian or columnist said it, but the quote was along the lines of "he has the look of a man you'd expect to see in a uniform with deaths head insignia on it".

Part of that is because some people have simply just fallen for his tired old transparent schtick hook line and sinker. I

But also I reckon it's a straw to clutch for those Tory voters (particularly former labour ones) who have that nagging feeling they've been played for fools and might just be a bit responsible for the mess the country is in. "Well I voted for Boris, not this lot, so it's not actually my fault."
