R00fie1`s Championship Round -Up:

Wayne Rooney has successfully managed to take the Blues from 6th in the Championship, when he took over, to 18th with four losses and a draw in the last five. Leaking just shy of two goals per game thats looking like relegation form. The Owls havent scored away in NINE hours [!] of football and have scored just seven goals all season. There is some light for Wednesday fans - they beat Rotherham 2-0 at the end of October! Can they actually score today and get a point?

Darren Moore must wonder whats happening with his career: a good Manager who was unfairly sacked by a bright Chairman at Sheffield Wednesday, has endured a torrid time with a Huddersfield side who sit 21st in the table. Saints are picking up, with six wins and two draws out the last eight. Doesnt look good at Leeds Road.

Having lost two of the last five [UTMB!] the Foxes have suddenly realised their passing-it-around game isnt the magic formula guaranteed to win every game. They may have only conceded ten goals, but their striking department was a joke at the Riverside. Watford might be boosted by their 5-0 battering of Rotherham before the International break. Four clean sheets in the last five and unbeaten in the last six. A draw today?

"Wall" Manager Joe Edwards appears to have a battle on his hands, with only one point out of a possible twelve in the last four home games. Coventry ended a stream of four losses with a draw at Stoke. Millwall in 15th with twenty points might just scrape a draw with Coventry sitting 20th - four points above Rotherham.

The Canaries last win - beating Cardiff 3-2 - followed five straight defeats.
QPR have at least managed two draws in their last five - against Bristol City and Rotherham. That`s progress [!] for the team who have only won two out of the last 16. In spite of their dreadful record, they may be helped by Norwich`s increasing injury list, which includes Ben Gibson and Jack Sargent along with four other regular first teamers!

We saw for ourselves the Pilgrims are no easy team to beat. Although its their first season back in the Championship for a while they appear to have enough to stay afloat. With just one win in eight, they need to beat the Deckchairs today to keep them away from the bottom of the table. The Mackems havent won away in the last three, so lets hope that record continues.

Preston have had an excellent start to their season. With only one defeat in the last five - a 1-0 loss at Hull they sit pretty in 5th place, two points above the Mackems. Cardiff have had an equally strong start but appear to be losing a bit of form. They do have six clean sheets thus far, but appear to do better at home than away. Cardiff are only two points off sixth place, so its anyone`s game.

The sort of game which helps sleep at the end of a long day. Stoke arent encouraged by the fact Manager Alex Neil thinks his forwards are not up to scratch! Blackburn have seven players out with injury and lost three out the last five. Blackburn sit just behind Bristol City, but form favours Stoke in fourteenth place.

Swansea play the type of possession football which can frustrate opponents, but hasnt really yielded a string of consistent results so far. One win and a draw in five puts them on the same points as Birmingham City with a better goal difference. Hull on the other hand are on the same points as Sunderland in sixth, but eight in the table on goal difference. Hull are without a certain Aaron Connolly who has been playing well for them this season, but has a foot injury.

Ipswich are the surprise package this season - having held their own, despite not having the biggest squad in the league. They remain the only Championship side not to have lost away this season [W5 / D3]. Of late they have incurred draws against Rotherham and Birmingham. West Brom lost last time out to Southampton but have the same points as Sunderland and Hull. Ipswich in second are seven points above third place Leeds  and joint top with Leicester.
