Had results back from my prostate test and levels low… had a few things that worried me but it’s put my mind at rest…

Just gotta do the FIT poo test now and dunk a stick in my no2 to check my bowel is ok…

If you are worried go see your doctors and ask to be tested…

Don't want to get too graphic but I will. The instructions say you can't let it drop into the toilet in case you contaminate the sample (you can contaminate poo?). So basically a handful of kitchen roll is called for. And of course this was the occasion I chose to deliver the perfect bog blocking foot-long I can usually only dream about.

Hope all is ok XXL, I had a scare last year and went through the same process, luckily things appear to be ok at moment hope you get the same outcome mate.

I had to go in for a small operation a few years ago and part of pre op was to do a poo sample.
I had to go and pick up all the stuff.

The nurse gave me a spatula and a test tube and said - if you can do it now go ahead, if not do it at home.
I said I’d do it now…. And did.

Got a phone call on the way home asking me to come back in straight away

Apparently - I wasn’t supposed to push the spatula up me asre.
It didn’t half hurt too

Had quite a laugh with the nurse who said no one else had ever done that before.
Not sure how I feel about that 😂

I was having psa tests every couple of years and then the doc said its a waste of time because it can give false results.

How long ago was that Lemmy?
I was told the same 3 or 4 years ago.
Apparently the vast majority of men of a certain age will have some kind of prostrate problem. Usually nothing to worry about.
The old tests couldn’t differentiate so unnecessary invasive procedures were performed.

Last year the doctor told me things had moved on and the tests were much more clear and could detect the seriousness of the damage.

Might be worth checking out
