Propose a Tav replacement

Sander Berge

Best central midfielder in the Championship who could easily play for a mid table Premier League side
If we had been promoted last season possibly but hes miles beyond our reach. I think sheff utd paid £22m for him and when leeds and newcastle were sniffing around him the quotes were reportedly in the region of £35m which is his buy out clause figure.

He's played 18 minutes of professional league football...

Paddy Lane. We'd easily be able to sign him for £1 million, low wages, virtually risk free... There's loads of players in L1/L2.
McAtee played in 6 games for Man City last season, and was on the bench with the 1st team so very highly thought of.
In 33 games , (u23) he scored 22 goals and had 7 assists, which would suggests he is ready to step up. Rotate him with Ilias Chair and we would be There about .
OR loan Fabio Carvalho - will he get much game time this season ? Doubt it so a loan may suit all. That would Be a coup.

6 games... including 3 mins against Everton when already 3-0 up, 15 mins vs Norwich when already 3-0 up, 12 mins vs Fulham in the cup when already 4-1 up... 24 mins vs Swindon when 3-0 up...
There's no denying he's a good young player and highly thought of, but Tav played almost every game last season, and has over 150 professional games.

Fabio Carvalho is a great shout though, although unfortunately I think he'll be in Liverpools plans this season.

My suggestion is Ilias Chair as starter with McAtee to come on .
Fabio Carvalho would be extra quality and may be in Jurgens plans , but maybe he will want him to get more game time , worth asking the question.

Paul Merson, Tony Yeboah or Rivaldo

As options are running out, there must be at least one of the above ready to come out of retirement for a season now we have the money for their wages
