I’m as socialist as the next guy, but you do realise that nationalisation isn’t the same as seizing their assets? We would have to financially compensate them either way.
That said, at a time of national emergency, you’d like to think that the owners of private hospitals would be making their facilities freely (or very cheaply) available to the Government.

pass emergency legislation that requisitions all healthcare facilities in time of national emergency.
it should also make it illegal to start price gouging for essentials at times like this. maybe increases of no more than 10% over the last six month average?
There are certainly some organisations, companies and individuals I shall remember after all of this has gone away, and they can go and royally foook themselves.
