Colin will be along in a minute defending her as bosses should be allowed to bully staff who point out their policies are unworkable and if that's not a fact then it should be!! Dim, arrogant, having no empathy and all done with a sneer and a smirk!! That describes Patel and her defenders.

Seems as though some people are willing to believe stories that hold no evidence. Can only think of one reason why if there are no cold hard facts to go with the story

The majority of the country wont trust them two either, Johnson is a PM in name only. Cummings appears to be the de facto PM
 
I for one am hoping that the Civil Service is keeping these chancers and proven liars in check. I know all politicians tell porkies but this lot are proven liars, Boris, Gove Patel et all are a bunch of Right Wing Ideologues no scruples and a dangerous arrogance. A dangerous combination indeed.

We've reached peak deflection if people play that card to defend Priti Patel. It's not because her family is Indian, or because she is a woman that people attack her. Its because she seems like a horrible human being. Smug, contemptuous arrogance is colourblind
 
It's a nightmare for the civil service, particularly those working in the centre on policy or working closely with ministers.

Ultimately the job of the civil service is to provide honest, impartial and objective advice. And they do. Unfortunately this current shower don't want that. They want advice that aligns to their preconceptions and throw their toys out of the pram when they don't get it.

It's a fine line to tread because if the government decides it's not going to listen to civil servants because it can't trust them, then the decision making will become even worse than it has been. So senior civil servants have to suck it up, be diplomatic and the grown ups in the room.

Briefing against ministers or leaking stories to the press doesn't help anyone. However much of a smug pr*ck they might be.

exactly as you state. It “seems” no one knows her personally. There is no evidence to base these accusations on just tittle tattle in the papers. Without evidence it would seem something more sinister. Maybe 2 Asians in the top government jobs is 2 much for some to swallow.
 
You're still playing the same card Cooper. As I feel I need to reiterate :maybe she's just a scumbag. Regardless of ethnicity. To try and defect from her behaviour be inferring there's a racist element to the accusations is quite worrying behaviour.
 
What behaviour would that be? Reports in the paper that have been stated as untrue? Maybe she isn’t a scumbag and it is a racist nature. You don’t know or anyone who works with her nor do I.
 
I am sure Cooper you would at least concede that accusations of bullying in the workplace must be taken seriously. They are reports in the paper - correct but also the denial is also “a report in the newspaper”. Let’s see what develops.
 
Of course and on that basis I am sure you would not like to see anyone facing official complaints of bullying elected to the House of Lords such as Mr Bercow until claims have been investigated

It's not two Asians in top jobs, but two Asians whose parents would not qualify to immigrate under their rules.......
 
Just discussing bullying in the workplace. A matter that should not be dismissed as “whataboutery” unless you only prefer to accuse a certain type of person of bullying without evidence
