Press conference at 2pm

Unfortunately I think it's just the usual pre-match press conference (even though we don't play until Monday).

I for one am looking forward to hearing the same old spin and bull.

TBH it feels a bit early for the pre-match conference. There is a possibility its to announce his departure (either sacking or resignation). But I guess we'll have to just wait and see.

We know from his comments before he was appointed that he does read social media etc, maybe he's had enough?

Wouldn’t they just release a statement via website/social media if he was gonna resign/get the sack? Not many teams call a press conference to do it nowadays. I reckon it will be the standard pre game presser with Woodgate spouting the usual ***** but would love to be wrong

For a sacking, yes, but managers hardly ever resign nowadays so maybe he'd wanted a presser.

However, looking at the old board it seems that the Gazette have confirmed its just the pre-Forest one as standard. Nothing to see here.

Which probably means Gibson is announcing the sale of the club to Lily Weinstein.

Wednesday is the usual day for Saturday match press conferences but when there is a midweek match that goes out of the window. It would usually then be on a Thursday afternoon or Friday morning, to best fit in with schedules.

I've managed to get a look into Woodgate's mind (not a lot in there to be fair) and the below are the main points you can expect from this afternoon's press conference: -

- Hopefully we can put them three (ever increasing number of) bad results to bed and move on and try and beat Forest.

- We need the fans with us. I know it’s easy for me to say now and we are all going through a difficult patch, but we need them more than ever on Monday night.

- They've got some good players. They play good football and get the ball forward.

- The way they play, they are open and we want to attack as much as we can. It'll be a good game and hopefully we can win the game.

- We’ll go to try and win the game, but they’re a decent team and they’ve had some good results of late.

- It’s important that we don’t lose the game.

- They’re one of the best teams in the league.

- Their manager has done a fantastic job, and with the front three players they’ve got, they will score goals.

- They’ve always backed the team no matter what, even when we played Leeds and we got beat they were still there with the players.

And repeat. Those are all taken from his last few pre-match press conferences.

Pretty much covered it

Don’t forget the bit where he lists the unavailable players and he looks a bit more upbeat as that’s part of his excuse when we don’t get a result.

Well according to the Gazette today he talks to Gibson all the time... Gibson understands what he's trying to do and he has Gibson's backing. Mmkay!
