Pre-Order the Away Shirt on Monday

But not available until the 11th August 😳
I genuinely don't understand our club shop. You could only pre-order the home shirt, and then they put the shorts and socks on release the same day as the shirt. Fine if you can call in but having paid £6 delivery on the pre-order to then have to make a second order for the rest of the kit (and with it another £6 delivery charge and 10-14 day delivery time) is a pi$$ take.

The home shirts are pretty much sold out in the kids sizes so once again they underestimate demand and then don't have the away kits available until after the season starts.

It's genuinely like they don't want us to spend any money in there.

I'm sure they'd be delighted for you to buy as many £75 hoodies as you could carry!

I imagine there have been supply issues.
I mean its not like they didn't know that there was going to be a 2022/23 season and that the team wear a football kit??

And maybe that the kit needs to be available in ALL sizes before the launch day..

Just imagine the forethought...

I think you have to go back to when we beat City 8-1 for when we wore next season’s home shirt on the final day and released it in plenty of time.

I know they couldn’t do that last season with the change of supplier, but it’s poor again.

A lot of people like to buy them for the holidays so they’ve missed that surge in business.

I'll give them a slight pass this year as they're might have been something contractually holding things up with moving suppliers? Like they couldn't sign a deal and commit financially to another sports brand till the Hummel contract was finished?

Maybe?

Long shot possibly and it is actually just incompetence from the club/Errea? You would think they'd have historic data of numbers sold on average and they could pre-plan the kit and order them by easter or something?

Again, unless they didn't know who it would be with or who the sponsor would be in case we went up?

Exactly. There's also the gap to be filled by the release of the new international kits being delayed due to the World Cup being later which we're going to miss. Again, a straw man of one, but my eldest has birthday money burning a hole in his pocket (home kit already bought) and he wanted the away kit. Now the England kit has been leaked he doesn't know whether or not to buy that instead (and being a Scotsman I'm not buying it for him).

I was looking forward to buying this in the club shop at the Westbrom game as the away shirt is my shirt of choice this year.

I'm prepared to give them a pass on the change of supplier, there's a whole raft of things that need to be done there. However, all of the other things, sponsor, contracts etc. apply to both home and away kit. It's just the lack of planning / foresight around the releases that annoys me (because my eldest is annoying me about it mainly).

I'm also assuming that, unless the leaked photo of the away shirt that caused the club to hastily release it was from the Errea factory, we have them in the club shop. Why delay when people want to buy?

Mu guess the delay in the away shirt is down to them having to get host &stay printed on by a 3rd party company. I would say anyone that has any questions just gonna and speak to Jo ann. She really approachable and if she is able to answer she will.

But that's the same for the home shirt as well and that went on sale 10 days ago.

Jo-Ann is great (and I worked in the club shop for her 25 years ago, Christ that's a sobering thought) but, and as I'd expect her to, she can only give the club line.
