Yup. Reminded me of Robbie Savage, nasty niggly little fouls but if you so much as breathed near him he was writhing on the ground. Cnut. One of my happiest memories at the Riverside is recalling the look on his face when he got sent off. The only red of his career (IIRC) oddly? So Powell had none of the subtlety of La Savage I guess.

Agree that foul on Wing was enough for a straight red, he should have been booked in the first half for a late one too.

Plenty of chat on Twitter among Stoke fans that Powell was trying to avoid playing Wigan on Tuesday as apparently he's a Wigan fan?? Don't know how much truth there is in that. He did make 120-odd appearances for them as a player before moving to Stoke last year, though.

He did used to play for Wigan, if that’s true though that is disgusting by him.
