Potential next match?

Just renewed my season tickets online and it is showing the next game as Swansea City (H) now on Sunday 31st May.

Could this be the pencilled in return?

Once football gets started again, I can see it being 9 games in 25/26/27 days - behind closed doors - and stringent controls for those at the stadium such as security, medical, and media.

every club in the same boat with a full fixture list every 72hours - we will get some great games and plenty of goals.

clubs to identify before hand those personnel present with a limit of 3 named subs and a max party of 22 (15 Players and 7 club officials) for each team - or similar stringent controls. I expect an option for every game (EPL/EC) to be available on PPV - I think every game has to kick off at the same time, no staged games and no varying KO times - just simple & straightforward, no messing about, over and completed.

ohhh and VAR suspended ! :ROFLMAO:
I honestly can't see football played behind closed doors, certainly not as many is needed to complete the season, but then money talks & if it's got to go ahead because its costing somebody millions then that will be the case

I don't think they have a lot of choice. You can enforce social distancing in seating areas by either removing seats or having some mechanism for spacing spectators by family group, but in the concourses the virus would spread like wildfire. I suppose you could allow entry to anyone with a certificate of immunity and close the bars etc.

In Iceland they know that several infected persons caught the virus at a single "major English football match". I'm guessing the Liverpool vs Athletico game. So the danger is obvious.

All the players and staff will have to be tested both for immunity and for the virus prior to arriving at the stadium for the game. With mostly empty stadiums and as suggested PPV for all fans. How lower league games would work is another question.

I can't believe you've renewed already.
I'm waiting until the last day of the early bird, whenever that might be, just to make sure it's going ahead

That's fine will, the decision will have to be made soon mind

lookslike champ clubs are pencilling in 31st May as the earliest possible date Erimus, that would mean a month of football in June, this can replace the world cup ! - be interesting to see what PPV figures could/would/ will be -massive I would say given its gravitas - its an ideal time to kick a trial PPV in, as the option for fans to attend under todays circumstances, is gone, and the key discussion point has always been that live English PPV with 15:00 KO's would affect attendances.

Hope so woukd certainly give us all a massive lift, even behind closed doors

There has been plenty of social distancing in the Riverside this season . Crowds have been low, so far, this season.
