Post a picture of a favourite possession

WOW!

That's amazing. Whats the story behind that? My favourite film that is.

why wife was a VP in the marketing department at Miramax at the time he was pitching the film and she acquired its copy as part of her role to read to see if it was something they wanted to finance, although by this stage it was pretty much going to happen. It's one of 6 copies out there, 4 of which he signed, the copy I have is not and Mrs Fufkin kicked herself for not asking him to sign it

even though it says it's a last draft, it was really the last working draft and is far from the finished film if you watch the film with this script you keep having to flick through it as the order is different, although the spoken lines are very close

the actors weren't signed up to the project yet though, here's a couple of pages from this draft with some quite big differences to what QT originally had in mind, especially the Butch characterIMG_20200520_084742.jpgIMG_20200520_084755.jpg

That's fascinating. I can't even imagine the film if some of these actors had been picked.

My initial reaction to this was sadness, as I can't think of a single "favourite possession", however when we moved to the US four years ago we gave away so many possessions and haven't really bothered to start hoarding stuff again and it's actually quite nice! People, experiences and memories (both mental and photos/video) are more important than possessions to me right now (although I do have a few bottles of Leffe Blonde chilling in the fridge that I am rather fond of).

That'll be worth a fortune Artie. Would have been interesting to see Danny Devito as the wolf.

Not as much as you might think, this one is signed and is 2 of 3, although I was led to believe there were 4 signed copies out there, 2 unsigned like mine

Still it's a nice item to have

Have this signed drawing done by Jennifer Saunders too from when Mrs fufkin was at (I think) paramount signed by all 3 of them, though one sig has faded. she signed off the contract to get ab fab to the states20200520_161639.jpg

This is Julia doing a signing at the launch, mrs fufkin is to her left. Terrible photo as it's from a newspaper cutting. The pic above it is her with matt dillon on another film launch, wild things I think it may have been?2017-04-19 20.48.41.jpg

I think you did the right thing GS. I put stuff in storage when I moved to Korea (just personal possessions not furniture etc). It was there for eight years and probably cost me ten grand to store, which was more than its value. When I finally got it out of storage I got rid of a lot of it on the basis that I hadn't missed most of it. There's still a load left to dispose of and its now ten years that I haven't needed any of it. I should have pared it down to a cardboard box of memories and a single billy bookcase of work/current college related books.

Regarding the start of the thread It was fairly easy for me to pick items that I possess and like so much because I have actually hung on to so little. The Poppy is probably the largest piece I posess. Other than that,a few badges and photos and ticket stubs.Everything has been cut to the bone. Most of it fits into a small whicker basket.
