Positives from yesterday

As the boss says no point dwelling on the defeat as that’s wasted energy, so let’s focus on the positives instead.

As Reading a few of the posts from those that went it sounded quite positive. Bar the 2 goal sucker punch but I think that any side would struggle to overcome that in this league esp so early on.

There are loads of positives.
We are strongly in the play off picture, playing good football and have fantastic form since our bright young manager arrived and improved the performances of nearly every player, and got a whole way bigger than the sum of the parts.

We have 6 of the next 9 matches at home.

Arsenal lost at Everton, a far bigger upset than us losing yesterday, yet the league is still in their own hands.

We have recent history of bouncing back strongly from a setback.

On the positives - our passing and possession was very good, if anything we did too much passing - no team this season even Burnley will go there and have 70% possession. When we lost games at the beginning of season we didn't have a stat like that.

We also had double the number of corners and matched them on chances.

I thought Hackney had a very good game.

Jones came on and had a couple of chances

I never at any point felt like WBA were on top or we were under siege which will happen to many teams at WBA at some point in a game.

As mentioned on Friday I thought this was our toughest game of the season left.

Not sure what was positive we never looked like scoring, the atmosphere was flat after the second goal went in and half the Boro fans had left by the final whistle ?
