His favourite record was Teenage Kicks by the Undertones, apparently as he was driving down the motorway it came on the radio, he pulled over & criedI remember someone requested this song on the John Peel late night Radio 1 show - I can remeber the exact words of John Peel but he ripped them apart with some quick cutting dry wit, basically saying the listener had the wrong show but not as polite as that!
ClassThis song I always associate with my first trips to Ayresome Park as a little boy in my brand new parker - its cheesy but boys and girls its Radio Ayresome cheesy.
