Thumbs up to Lefty with his link to " We have ways" podcast , I've found " behind the basterds" to be really illuminating and entertaining on subjects as wide as US police history, socialism in the US, L Ron Hubbard and various other world wide and historical nut jobs.
Too much of our time is spent reading or listening to ill informed opinion and politically slanted liars, the current trend of " news" programme asking for your "views" by text is a good example .
It's refreshing to listen to informed articulate people explain complex issues , I remember when Television used to interview experts instead of people in the street.
Any recommendations for podcasts ?

Anybody with even a passing interest to 90s football needs to listen to Quickly Kevin, in my opinion the best football podcast available (but then I love everything 90s)!!!

I'm not really one for the true crime genre, but "Hunting Warhead" completely engaged me. It's about two Norwegians investigating child abuse on the Dark Web, and how the Australian Police are setting up the largest child porn site on the net. Shocking from beginning to end.

I love the 'off menu' podcast with James Acaster and Ed Gamble, where various people order their favourite ever meal in an imaginary dream restaurant. It usually goes off on tangents all over the place and is quite funny (but I do particularly like James' warped sense of humour).

I'd second the Quickly Kevin reccomendation, my only frustration is its crying out for a Boro episode covering the madness of 1996-97 season, someone like Higgy would be good value covering that.

As a side issue, to randomly respond to Rob's post. I went to secondary school with Stewart Flaherty so might give that podcast a listen!

Edited due to fat finger typing on small phone!

I think that every time I listen, Higgy would be great with him being there pre 95.

Ah right I’ve got iPhone and podcast app is built into IOS but I’m sure folk with Android can point you in right direction.

Last Podcast On The Left - Absolutely hysterically funny at times. True crime, cults, UFO's, ghosts and cryptids.

If you like behind the b***ds Robert Evans the guy who does it also has a series called 'it could happen here' about the possibility of a civil war coming up in the USA from last year and 'worst year ever'.

It's all very progressive / anarchist but its great in terms of not giving the Dems a free ride.

Then you've got Jimmy dore also

Absolutely love Chris Ramsey's podcast Shagged, Married, Annoyed.

That Peter Crouch Podcast is very interesting too.

I've been recommended Bob Mortimer's podcast but I've not got on to it yet.

I use Pocket Casts. Always works well. My main issue was getting one that worked well with android auto and that one does.

I agree with the recommendations for Off Menu and Quickly Kevin. Surprised we've got this far without a recommendation for Athletico Mince. That Peter Crouch podcast is also decent and for some comedy there is My Dad Wrote Porno.
