PMs Since the 1970's

Why Tony blair is given a real easy time on here i do not know. He didnt do anything to reverse the shift change to invidualsim thatcherism brought, infact i would go as far as to say his ideoligy was thatcherism light. Tutition Fees, PFI expansion, then we had private landlords and the gig ecomonmy who all thrived under blair. I would call him a class triator, but he never represented the working class.

Major is the only one of the Tories I have any time for. A decent bloke even though I didn't agree with Tory policies.

The last 3 have been the worst we've ever had. Each even worse than the previous culminating in Johnson who in my opinion will go down as the worst prime minister in history.

Thatcher was horrible, made lasting changes for the worse. Neoliberalism along with Reagan. A disaster in my opinion. But at least she had some integrity and was a decent leader.

Blair by far the best but I can't forgive him for Iraq.

I'm a bit too young to comment on Heath, Wilson and Callaghan.
Blair continued the Neoliberalism you hated

As I said none of them are worth a **** - they don’t work for us, they work for those above them that we generally don’t hear about. Their sole purpose is to find ways of squeezing every last penny from those of us who have to participate in the rat race everyday of our lives 🫤 democracy is just an illusion - oh they give you the quaint notion that you have a say in what goes on alright, but all you’re really voting for is which stick you get to be beaten with - the right wing stick or the left wing stick. The end result is the same, you get beaten

Thatcher said she would lead Britain to the end of the earth.
Her and Regan were on the verge of organising it.

To an extent yes, you are not wrong. But at least they put money into public services. We haven't had any government since that has done that. The ones vefore certainly didn't.
Yes they did put a bit more money in public services at the time but they didn't reverse or change policy directions from the Thatcher era a temporary fillip whilst Blair's driving the car in same Thatcherite direction . The biggest legacy of Blair was it was government without any meaningful legislative changes to help the poor or the disadvantaged and for a labour government that's pretty shameful.
