ah brings back the glory days of the 50s, trainspotting on Darlo station, wondering what engines we'd get going through Cargo Fleet en route to Redcar Races.......

It was a tip off on here a few years ago that saw me standing like a wee boy on the platform at Alnmouth as the Flying Scotsman roared by.

I think that was the run when Tornado topped 100mph between Darlo and York?
The footage at Durham was from its first (I think) loaded test run from Darlo to Newcastle and back, as it was still painted in grey undercoat at the time.

I'll get me anorak.........

According to the youtube page it was November 2008, so you are correct (won't need the anorak for a while though or you will bake)
