Experience from around the world shows you need to act severely early. The government have it about right I think. It's a matter of opinion however they are supported by facts and medical experts. I know it's as much (an educated) guessing game. They've balanced safety with economy but as rob said - doing go out now the pubs are closing. The decision was made for a reason
Why do we need the government to tell us, has humanity sunk so low that we need to be led in a dictator type way. This whole thing shows that the collective moral compass of our country is so amiss that maybe we do.he would have been better saying, closed with immediate effect, how many germs/viruses could be spread tonight??
The government could have been strong and mandated lock down immediately. Weak leadership.Totally nothing to do with the government. People were told at the beginning of the week not to go to bars, restaurants etc. Totally ignored so now they are all being closed and despite being told not to go out tonight, guess what people are doing.
Just seen a FB post with an ex-work mate "in the xxxxxx(pub) for a final pl$$ up while we still can. FCUK you Boris". This is the mentality in this country ffs.
We must agree to disagree. Delay = more deaths. A simple equation from my perspective.I think the leadership has been fairly balanced Spanish man. Not weak. Again, a matter of opinion. If he comes down with an iron fist last month then people complain its to early.
Personally I think it's been here since Christmas and now is the right time to up the anti
