I write a blog for our local community. As we have a lot of people from all around Europe who have property in our town. The blog helps these people feel part of our transient community.
Local Car Tax
I understand that fewer people will be in Almerimar in the coming weeks and months. So they may not be here to receive their annual bill for local car tax and pay it.
I have just been told the following information on this subject:
"The car tax hasn't gone up since last year. So anyone that hasn't got this year's receipt because they are not here can pay the same amount as last year. The account details are listed on the receipt from last year."
Dog Walking
I am getting conflicting information about how far from your home you can walk your dog. I have asked if there is some clear official information about this. As a couple of people have given me different stories on this issue.
My understanding is that you can only take your dog out to "do it's business". Not take it for a general walk. The suggestion I have been given is that people should use their common sense in this matter.
Also, only one person can accompany the dog.
Plus, please note that you are supposed to sanitise the paws (pads) of the dogs after it has been out.
