Peace in Northern Ireland

Even the dogs in the street know that the IRA army council still exists and is pulling the strings of Sinn Fein and controlling the party from behind the scenes.

NI Politicians have even complained about Sinn Fein MPs having to consult the 'sinister' men in the background over policy matters - people like Ted Howell ( rarely seen in public but very influential with policy decisions and strategy) Padriac Wilson (IRA discipline enforcer) Big Bobby Storey (now deceased)

Gerry Adams old IRA colleagues laugh at his claim to have never been on the army council. They say when he used to say 'I will take that back to the IRA to discuss' all he had to do was look into the mirror at himself and speak.
I once knew someone who had an important job looking after important people in Northern Ireland.
He came within inches of Ian Paisley and Jerry Adams regularly and would have willingly done something forbidden to both

Gerry Adam’s was the one suspected of being the leader as you say but Martin mcguinness was the real IRA quartermaster.

As Brooke’s cartoon after his death showed

Belfast is one of the best cities ive visited. So much history. Me and my wife walked through the estates from the Crumlin Gaol and stopped for a drink on both The Shankhill and The Falls road and then waited for our bus to come back and pick us up. I am booked to go back next month and cant wait.

You think the Peace walls are just a tourist attraction? They were supposed to come down by this year but still 60 left, all symbols that there's no real peace because sparks would soon fly without them.
It doesnt take an escapologist to get around them. You can easily walk from one side to another...

I'd love to do the black taxi tour one day. Do they do regular tours?

I did the Catholic one about 12 years ago. Very informative, although obviously one half of the story. It happened to be the morning after a riot. The driver was great, albeit massively blaming 'the other side' for every aspect of the troubles!

My Mam is an Irish Catholic from Enniskillen so I've always been really interested in learning about the troubles.

I've learned over the years though that many on both sides of the divide have tunnel vision when it comes to the blame game.

As far as I know yes, we seem quite a few stop off at the murals when we where walking through. We just done the hop on/hop off bus tour which offers a discount for a tour of the jail which I would highly recommend.
